After graduating with a First Class degree in Economics from the University of Edinburgh, Ed spent some time with Ernst and Young in their global Tax Advisory practice working with international investment banks such as Morgan Stanley and Mizuho International.

Following Ernst & Young, he worked as a commodities trader at Stemcor, one of the UK’s largest family businesses. He was responsible for handling $80 million worth of steel contracts for clients in Eastern Europe and the Middle East through offices in Odessa, Lagos and Dubai.

In late 2010,he joined Datamonitor as a market intelligence associate in their global financial services team where he prepared and wrote international industry reports on consumer insight, competitor analysis and forecasting. These reports were purchased and utilised by leading strategy consultancies, investment banks, retail banks, and payment schemes.

Prior to joining Leaders Matter in June 2014 as a Senior Research Associate his most recent role was with Lloyd’s Banking Group where he spent several years in a variety of roles covering security and fraud, oil & gas, corporate banking business development, and human resources.
