Our search process is driven by a sense of trust, transparency and partnership with the client. We carry out our assignments on a retained and exclusive basis which serves to reinforce the partnership approach

We take time to understand fully the client organisation and its culture, the strategy, the pace and the ambition, giving us the best possible chance of helping the client in making an outstanding appointment.

We always provide a detailed proposal for the work to be done so that there are no surprises. We also prepare and agree with the client a comprehensive brief for an assignment covering background to the appointment, client profile, description of the task, and the candidate requirements in terms of skills, competencies and experience.

Our approach involves a range of techniques covering detailed and skilled research, the extensive use of sources who are experts in their sector, and due diligence including informal referencing. The combination of these techniques, supported by our own in depth interviewing, enables us to identify and recommend the best and most appropriate candidates available.

We communicate frequently with the client during the search process and from the point of identification, we will support and advise both the client and the candidate through the various stages until an appointment is successfully made. We also follow up with the client and the successful candidate post appointment to ensure that expectations are being met on both sides.

Leaders Matter is committed to the Voluntary Code of Conduct drawn up by the executive search industry in 2011 that defines best practice in achieving gender diversity at Board level in the UK. Leaders Matter endeavours to support the Code by the proactive inclusion of suitably skilled women on all its candidate shortlists.
